Hi, I’m Ming! ◡̈
Currently a Master of Design student at the Institute of Design @ IIT.

Born in New York City and raised across Hong Kong and Wuxi, China, I grew up navigating different cultural norms, systems, and ways of making meaning. This is an experience that continues to shape how I approach design.

Alongside formal design training, I’ve spent time working in retail, engaging directly with customers in fast-paced, real-world environments. That experience sharpened my ability to read context, ask better questions, and understand motivations that rarely surface in research artifacts alone. It reinforced my belief that behind every data point is a person navigating tradeoffs, uncertainty, and emotion.

When I’m not working, you can find me climbing at the gym, streaming games on Twitch, or hanging out with my orange tabby, Reggie.
